Probably so…much big gun stuff is triple base propellants with grains being pellets the size of a hay pellet or little finger with hole channels through it to increase surface area to burn. Triple base burns slower than the double base most of use for rifles and contains two or three ingredients that double base doesn’t have. But their base ingredients are what we use in small arms. Single plus something makes double base. DB plus more makes triple base.

I only know (that small amount) because of the difficulty getting military TB powders for training detection dogs and the associated ATF chemist provided training in safe handling, and tracking the odors the dogs were certified to locate.
Nitrocellulose is the key ingredient and there is a serious shortage. It crosses both double base and triple base applications.
