Out of curiosity, what's a ballpark cost to run a class?
That is like asking what cam is best for a 318? Here is a quick break down. I have not priced this stuff in awhile so some may be a bit off but you get the idea.Keep in mind it is front loaded as many of the purchases can then be utilized for additional classes. So then you have to explain depreciation schedule and difference to accounting systems cash vs accrual to the instructor candidate. Many have never owned a business before. It is eye opening for them.
Range rental =150
Range head fee = 10 per student
Instructors insurance = 400 per year
Instructor certification fees= 600
Folding chairs=20 per chair
Blue guns=50 per unit pistol/revolver
Blue gun rifle= 150 per unit
Dummy rounds = 1 per unit( multiple calibers needed)
Chamber bore safety flags =1 per unit you need a bunch
Student workbooks=20 per unit
Assistant instructor= negotiable but typically 100-400 per day
Laptop= 500
Remote for laptop=20
Mileage=.52 per mile (IRS)
Professional clothes=100 (pants,shirt with logo)
Targets=.50 per unit
Target stands/backers=20 per unit
