No, I stayed with the small ball joint. It coincides with keeping the lower A arms. I did upgrade to 15” cragers and tires . I had 14” as well but you can buy a few 15’s with small bolt pattern!
The lower control arms are the same regardless of what upper ball joint you use. You change the lower ball joint to match whatever spindle you use, but nothing changes with the LCA.
