Harmonics could come from 4 gear gds
There are harmonics from the crank and cam.
The argument is the GD transmits the harmonics to the crank where the belt absorbs them. I say if that’s the case (where’s the proof) then how does the damper on the crank not absorb them like they do for the crank.
The red is zero proof that happens.
And the fact is every World of Outlaw car they use a gear drive AND they don’t use a damper on the crank. At least they didn’t the last time I looked at them, which was the early 2000’s.
And you don’t see the cranks braking and shitting the engine all over the track.
If that was the case then you’d see belt drives on them. And…that don’t happen.
I hate being ignorant so I educate myself as best I can.
