I really want to try a gear drive. I am not scared of them. I keep checking the couch cushions for lost pocket change but it is not adding up fast enough.

Top Fuel uses gear drives. Alcohol funny cars and dragsters use gear drives. Noonan uses gear drives. Proline uses gear drives. And if that is not enough, Steve Morris uses gears drives on his SMX engines that are seeing lots of road miles in the drag and drive events. Seems to be well tested and working pretty good for all those applications.
