I tried 2 different paints for grill , the wheel paint some recommend is too shiny , you can see were I tried it on the grill itself ,sorry lighting not great on pictures , paint on right I did bezels and looks very close , the signal cover in picture was nos and had the paint on bezels look very close compared to the wheel paint , just sharing what I consider more close to original

Too “shiny”. Sometimes satin clear can get you where you need to be….Swingn’

the bezel looks much closer in color to original now , little shiny but the wheel paint was just not a color match and way to shiny

I just redid my '70 Dart grill and it turned out nice. I used the Duplicolor BHA0971 Satin Silver Metallic (NH623M) paint listed in post #12

My original 71 grille was all silver from the factory. The 72s I had and other 71's were blacked out. I had many cars and grilles. Some were molded in silver and then blacked out and some were molded in black and painted silver.

The grilles that were molded in black were never cracked at the trim screws were the molded in silver were. All the repop grilles are silver and blacked out.

The last 2 pictures you can see the grille was molded in black. What I can tell you is I sold many grilles and the molded in black were all big money never under $1500. I prefer the silver grille molded in black over the blacked out grille molded in silver. But that is just my preference

Dull Aluminum Kylon 1403

Krylon 1403 Krylon Metallic Paint | Summit Racing

It’s much closer to OE rallye wheel paint too. The Mopar Rallye wheel paint is too glossy.

ns1rm21 redid these two grilles with 1403 Dull Aluminum.

I’ve used the Krylon 1403 recently to bomb my rallye rims and my gas tank. Didn’t put a clear coat on the rims but did put one on the gas tank. I’ve heard that Krylon 1403 is also a really good match to the Mopar argent silver that was used on pretty well most silver plastic trim.
