The one I finally found on parts giant (after a 2nd look) says it "fits" 91-96", which plenty covers it.
I think it's a matter of "getting what I paid for" with the thin ones I got the first time. It would have "fit" and "worked for a while" but it was obviously just cheap copy. I did put in '91 Dakota into parts giant and it said "fits"
So I don't think ID'ing the right one is much of a problem. But I'll run out to the garage after work and get that number if it's that important.
