Rusty had asked for some pics of my engine run stand. I was building something a while back and had some left over 4" channel. I had just enough to make it, could have been a little longer especially when putting a slant 6 on it. I first had made it for a Ford 302, then another 302, then a mopar 318, maybe another 318, then of course my slant 6.
I hope the pictures help Rusty, there can always be modifications, but it has worked out very well for me.
Each "adapter", one is for slant 6, another for the 318, and lastly for the Ford 302.
The back plate was some scrap plate and there are various holes to where I mount the bell housing. I have 3 bell housings and now just 2 flywheels.
I had some spool mounts and modded them to work for my slant. For the radiator, there's those long square tubing that slide out, or in, not shown are the rests for whatever radiator I'd be using.
I have another S6 bell housing.
