The piston cost for a 273 kills that idea. Its either the egge cast ones with a terrible ring package or custom. And I would have to sell the engine when I was done, and I believe a high strung expensive 273 would likely never sell
Yeah not for the true cost of custom pistons. No one wants to spend 2000 on pistons.
I’d say push it up in the 11 or 12-1 and give it a healthy cam for 4 speed car with 3.73’s, Doug’s headers, manual brakes for a goal HP of 400-425 range.
