I wouldn’t worry about the overall dimensions personally. The quality of the spring itself is all I’d be concerned about.
The MP oval tracks have been around forever, and the AFCO’s that are made to oval track specs of varying spring rates have been around a long time too. They work just fine with standard hangers.
