Can any one help me figure out the size of the moter and do they think the block would be good to build

Grab some pictures of any casting marks. Looks like Hemi heads...

Worth Rebuilding is a relative question subject to many variables

The earliest hemis had the Bell housing cast on the rear of the block. Can't tell in your pic. Dodge said RED RAM on the valve covers.
Chryslers said Fire Power on them . and Desoto said Fire Dome on the spark plug covers that are missing on your motor.

I think that's a Dodge Red Ram. It looks pretty small for an early Hemi. Look for numbers on the block in the front just behind the water pump. Go on Bob's Hot Heads site as per above and read. You can even call Hot Heads. They are GREAT folks to work with.

Turn around very, very slowly....and walk away before it bites you! Those are a nice conversation piece, but don't fit in muscle era Mopar bodies without some major hackery. :realcrazy: Older trucks and 50's boats...they fit a lot better.

Looks like a Dodge red ram to me too. Could measure from one plug to another to get an idea of bore centers, rough idea of displacement.
Meaning: small, heavy, weak.
Fun motor for a t-bucket, or no-hood 32Ford, but that's all I'd use it for.

If this is going to be your first build, or you're on any kind of a budget; walk away. Good parts aren't cheap (even compared to what we're used to with Mopars), and parts availability is worse (especially for Red Ram and DeSoto hemis) than what we're dealing with on LA and B motors. And as said; fitment into '60s-'70s A bodies can be a challenge, especially for a novice.
Early Hemis are sweet, but honestly you'd basically build one as eye candy; and nothing wrong with that- but for $$ spent you'll go a lot further with an LA/B motor.
Had a DeSoto Fire Dome in a '67 Dart back in the day, and parts availability sucked even then.
