Never had a glasstech hood before ive always bought aar/stinger hoods. I bought a glasstech hood for my 67 barracuda at a real good price new in the box. The fitment between the hood and cowl is nice and the same with the front. The issue im having is the fenders to hood. The left side is tight up aganst the fender and the right side has wide gap. I can fix the problem by sliding the latch to the right but i have to slam the hood to get it to latch. Im not saying its the make of the hood im just saying this is a first for me. All the fiberglass hoods ive installed i never had this problem.

With 50+ year old molds that are being used, you better plan on a "lot" of trimming and fitting. The Glass on my bracket car took almost a month and a half to get the doghouse, hood, doors and deck lid to lined up. The fitment still isn't what I would like but I decided to live with it

All glass parts need to be fitted. These cars are 50years old. Everything needs to be tweaked.

SN: what no pictures?

Nope, no pictures on mine. By the time we got it to the point it is now, I was covered in fiberglass, itching like a dog overrun with fleas, not to mention disgusted. It looks good from the stands and from 20 feet.

The make a tool to bend the hinges for the proper placement side to side. I have seen this on metal hoods also. Usually you can get away with bending one and the other will be pulled in place. Always align the hood without the latch. Never use the latch to center the hood. Same with deck lid.

Look at the gap between the glass hood and header panel above. You will get it. Take your time dont let frustration get the best of ya.

Yea ive used many AAR/STINGER fiberglass parts & they all fit awesome. This is my first glasstech.

I have a Stinger/AAR 6 pak hood on the Coronet. It fit pretty nice right out of the box but it needed trimming on the sides. Took an afternoon of work to get it to fit right.
