step one: figure out what you want. but this is the kicker, everybody thinks they need that 400+ hp johhny kick *** motor that "has that chop" at idle.
and that's where most engine builds begin to unravel.
be truthful with yourself about how you drive, how you use the car, what you want the car to be, how you would like to use it in the future and what your expectations are. and i can't stress this enough, you have got to be *realistic* about this.
do all of this before you even start *thinking* about budget.
once you're got that, then you can start looking for a recipe to copy that's within your budget.
