Interesting thread, I'm curious as well to see what you get from dialing in more light-load cruise timing. It really does make a huge difference in the heat output of the engine. It's really nice to have electronic timing control that you can adjust on the fly but like @TT5.9mag said it's easy to get over your head with it when is possible to adjust at every data point, I also recommend finding an experienced tuner to get your tables done when you are able. Analog controls like a vacuum advance canister are more limited but it kinda also helps in that way by not being able to modify the advance at every RPM and manifold vacuum point.
