Rethreading die 7/16-20 left and right hand

I recently bought a left and right hand rethreading die (not a thread tapping die but a thread restorer)

They were in the $7.00 each range IIRC.

I used them on lug studs that had been in the weather since 76. The lugs cleaned up so well that I can hand screw lug nuts on all the way to the hub.

First I put them on the correct way and ran them in and out, then put them on backwards and cleaned up the last little bit by the hub flange the right way cant get to.

Once again, you’ve saved the day! I was able to salvage and preserve my LH studs (along with the spares I got here on the forum) and my LH lug nuts with your suggestion and write up here, I got the same tools you suggested along with a LH tap and they worked very well.

Now if only I could find just TWO of the elusive LH dome duplex mag style lug nuts!
