the crank was to be new because the crank is 10 under and bubba the redneck welded the mallory weights in with chicken **** welds and one shop recomended it to be cheaper to go new a sopposed to the labour. Even so the savings is only $800 so save the crank and assemble it msyelf is only $1800 still 3 grand to high.
