The 340 is a great high revving engine but since the 360 has a longer stroke and more cubes it makes a great street engine because of more low end torque. More torque=more fun. This is just my opinion but I like the 360 better for that.

What you can get for hp out of any engine is determined mainly by the induction flow capacity.
