I sold the Pro Systems carb sun. I'm going back to BIGS. I talked to Jessie today and we were bouncing some ideas around between a 950 stage 7 and a 1050 dominator stage 7. Scotty loves his dominator from Jessie and Scotty's picky, so it's gotta be right. Jessie made me a no risk offer, if I don't like the dominator he'll switch me around to a 950. I would only have the added expense of throttle bracket and spacer adapter and base plate for air cleaner. Many guy's with the strokers said they picked up a 1/10th or better going to the dominator. Keep in mind I have a 4 speed car with 4.10's. Here is my set up

416 small block
12.4 comp
Indy 360-1 single plane intake
Indy 360-2 CNC'd heads
cam solid roller 254/266 621/624 112 lobe 108 center
TTI steps 1 5/8 to 1 3/4
x pipe exhaust
4 speed car wieght 3420 with driver
4.10 gear with 28" tire

chasis dyno numbers with a stock BG 1000 race demon

Honestly what I would do is to tell Jessie my car/engine specs, I know you have, tell him what the cars intended use is and let him make the decision. The way I look at it he knows alot more about carbs and all of that then I will ever know. Those dominators do look cool though especially with the different colors he has.

he has all the specs and because of the 4 speed we aren't totally sure how the dominator will work. I really want the dominator because I know the motor will like it upstairs, just not sure how it will react on the bottom. My only experience with this set up was with the pro systems and I think he missed the set up

domnator---even with a 4-speed you'll still like it. custom carbs make such a difference over an out of box deal if they are done right. i have heard great things about BIGS, a friend has been talking to them about a 1050 for his car (440 gtx)

I don't undestand why you just don't Tune the Race Demon?

It's really a little too big for your application you should probably have used a 825 GC or the 875 RS model.

We run a 995RS on our 445 CID Dart at 9.70's 138 MPH, we tried to bump the sleeves to a 1050 and it slowed by .2. We had a 1050 Dominator on it and the best we ever got was a 9.94.

I just can't believe that a Race Demon 1000 or a re-worked 1050 Holley will be optimum on that engine, maybe for a Dyno pull which is worth the recycle value of the paper. In the real world when you bolt it between the fenders the smaller carb properly tuned will produce a quicker time slip.

We run a 650 Race Demon on the 318, properly tuned it gives us very low 11.60's/115MPH at 3100#'s.

My Buddy's 548" BB Chevy uses a 1050 Brazwell carb and runs 9.40's.

Our 451 utilizes a 825 Mighty Demon and runs low 10's...just some examples of carb to engine sizing.

Too bad you wern't closer I'd get that Demon dialed in for you. I can see what's wrong with it by looking at the Dyno sheet.....mid range and Hi-Speed bleeds are too small.
