2008 SRT8 The Price Is Right ?

Well assuming oil prices dont keep going through the roof and or oil shortages dont occur I would wait a few years for the Challenger. Let the initial hype cool down and once they are on the road for a year or two the pricing will get a nice reality check. Plus I have been reading allpar and Chrysler is doing some great work on the next generation hemi engines.. as well as a new 6 speed auto/manual tranny that is supposed to blow away almost anything else on the market today. The new hemi might have variable cam timing like the 08 Viper does, as well as 3 valve cylinder heads and I wouldnt be surprised if direct injection was thrown into the mix too. Plus I dont think a 425 hp engine as the top of the line choice will cut it for too long so a street version of the 392 might be expected with at least 450 hp.
