318 to 360

Hi,

I plan on doing a swap on a plymouth from a 318 to a 360. Was thinking of going BB, but have decided it is too large a task.

The car currently is power steering with a/c. Will there be any implications in just a straight swap over that I need to be weary of. Any reasons why I can't put the a/c back on? I think i'll go the crate engine route from Maund motoworks on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Smal...007QQitemZ170072244608QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V). anyone use one of these?

Any help appreciated

Regards,
Rick

You're going to get all sorts of different answers regarding crate engines. I do not believe anyone has mentioned Maund yet. I haven't heard anyone complain about Blueprint Engines crates yet, so maybe it's worth a shot.

I do hear the Mopar crates have more problems than others.

A reliable engine builder is the way to go...but how do you find out which builder is reliable?

Bottom line is there isn't a straight answer on this. You can take a chance on the Maund crate. Let us know how it goes. If I had to choose, I would go with the Blueprint crate (warranty, 2yr/24,000mi)...IMO.
