We had channels 2, 5, 7, 9, & 11 in Chicago when I was growing up (channel 11 was PBS, does that count? lol!). My parents didn't see the need for a TV with color or UHF until my freshman year in high school. Probably because they figured I'd be out of the house in three more years anyway. I spent most of my time outside so I really didn't care that much.

That, and we were all really fit because if we wanted to go somewhere, we rode our bikes, and man, we rode everywhere!
