'68 Valiant power steering gearbox leaking-Seal replacement?
 I have had 3 power steering pumps on my 73 Duster. The first two both failed. The bearing in the first pump was bad. I noticed that when I was putting the belt on. I took it back and they replaced it. After I put the second pump on, I noticed a pool of fluid under the car. I thought I did not have the return line tight. I check it out and fluid was leaking out of the front seal. I went over to the box of goodies left over when I bought the engine from Wildcat and there was the old pump. I cleaned it up and painted it. I installed it and shazzam, no more leaks. I took the rebuilt pump back to the parts house and they refunded my money. I guess Mopar build good pumps. :?: I cannot answer you question about rebuilding the P/S box. I had one installed in my 68 Dart a few year back and I think it cost me $120. Ouch! I have also heard you can rebuild the box in the car. Anyone know about this? :?:
