Which single plane intake?

All the above advice is sound from their perspectives.
I believe your engine builder will have the best advice.
If BJR is doing the heads, thay can match the intake/carb combo and recommend the best cam stall and gear for your application.
How many rpm and power will the bottom end support?
If you go much faster will you have to make alot of changes to pass tech?
12.16 times is pretty quick.
I to also believe changing the rearend is a good idea.
The carnage from a failure can be expensive, a blanket on the trans
is a good investment also.
