70 Duster, 360, auto, 410 sure grip.Cheap...

70 Duster, originally an EV2 Hemi orange car with saddle tan interior, bench seat, 225 6-cylinder, column automatic, manual steering and brakes. Suspension and drivetrain have been upgraded to a 360 bored .030 over with Keith black pistons, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Hughes .555 lift 242 duration cam, Direct Connection ductile iron adjustable rockers, Edelbrock performer RPM air gap intake, 750 Speed Demon carb, MSD 6AL ignition and wires, Milodon oil pan and windage tray and ceramic coated Hooker Competition headers with full 2-1/2" aluminized exhaust. Rear end is an 8.25 with a 410 sure grip and long wheels studs, mounted on super stock springs. Trans is a 904 with a B&M shift kit. Shifter has been moved to the floor--its one of those P.O.S. versions that dont work right and make you cuss alot. Front drums have been replaced with new manual disc brakes. Its big bolt pattern on front and rear so tire and wheels combinations are nearly unlimited.

Built 10-23-69, this car was one of 103,294 random slant 6 Dusters made in 1970. Most of the things that made it a random Grannycruiser have been changed. There is still room for cosmetic improvements. Some outer sheet metal rust needs addressed but it will only require patch panels, depending on your skill level. Its 'sleeper' looks can be maintained by leaving the outside alone. Interior needs some help but at least all the pieces are there to work with.

This car has a very strong drivetrain combination, and upgrades to the suspension and brakes that make this an easy car to deal with, mechanically. Full exhaust and all lights work so it can be driven on the street. It gives the driver the feel of a hand grenade with the pin out. Nearly uncontrollable under power. Not reccomended for the beginner or faint of heart.

Do the math and add up what all the parts are worth, minus the car itself. Then figure that the best car for it to go in would be an A body, and what one of those would cost as a roller. Add it together and you just spent twice what this car is priced at. But youre smart and already knew that.
