do you tip at resturants?

Being the "po boy" I don't eat out very often, but being the husband of a former waitress, when I do, I tip generously IF the service is adequate (20 to 25 percent) The quality of the food shouldn't be a consideration except to let management know of your opinion. The tip is for service and I would only consider the quality of service in calculating the tip. If the food sucks then let the manager know that you won't be back. The cook should be paid to prepare great food and should not be considered in the tip equation.
