Hurst Pro-Matic Shifters

i've used them since the 80's. they are very easy to use and you can't miss or over shoot a gear with them. you can't get them in reverse or park unless you lift it up, once for reverse and twice for park. you can only shift one gear at a time. you have to let go of the handle so it resets itself for the next shift. these are dang near fool proof which is why i need to use them.

thanks Bob I appreciate your advice alot. Will it be fine with a bench seat or too low?

When you going to have a video of that monster eating a chebby you have?

I've been using the promatic II for about two years now and have not had a single issue with it. I really like the way it ratchets and install was straight forward. Only issue I had was space in my 63 dart with the bench seat. My heater controls were right in the way. I had to move them to get it in park. Other than that it has performed perfect.

I've used it in my 72 Duster with a bench seat and manual valve body 904. Never had any problems with it. Still have it in one of my storage containers back in Hawaii.

A word of advice if you are running headders or maybe even stock manifolds you should invest in some of the heat wrap you use on spark plug wires to slide your cable into. I didn't the first two times.

thanks for the advice guys I'm going for it I do have headers and I'll wrap the cable for sure.
