bye slant six, hello 318

I said that a STOCK 318 wont have much more power then a GOOD slant. I stand by that, especially an 80's low compression 2bbl 318. I even had one rebuilt to stock specs, bored 0.030 and it was just a big disappointment. To correctly put a small block in an A body where a slant was is a lot of work, especially in a home garage. Yes, you can make a 318 run, but when rebuildable 360's are like $200 what is the point? It is the same cost to build. In fact a few years ago (haven't looked lately)at summit and jegs 360 pistons were cheaper then 318 pistons.

Oh and 318's are much easier to kill then a slant too.
