Hey All
Just wanted to say hello to all my fellow mopar enthusiast. Never thought that much of mopars, that is until I got one myself in a trade. Pretty neat vehicle. I am a proud owner of a white 1972 Dodge Dart. The engine is a .030" oversized 318 cu. in. with a edlebrock performer camshaft, a Thermoquad and intake manifold from a 340 powerplant, and sporting 2-1/2" exhaust front to back. A TCI overhauled 904 transmission with a Direct Connection 175k torque convertor, (2800-3000 rpm), and a 8 3/4 posi rear with 4.56:1 ring and pinnion. My son's car is a 1973 Plymouth Duster with a slant six. We have plans to put a 440 cu. in. motor in it. Just collecting parts for it now. Have a complete engine that already been overhauled with a lot of DC parts. Have a K-member, 727 transmission, B&M 10" 2800 stall speed convertor. The rear will be for now a narrowed Dana 44 posi with 3.55:1 gears. The car needs new lower quarter panels which we already have. When they are being installed we plan to move the spring inboard along with the inner wheel wells. I have to say, just reading the members postings on this forum has help me a lot on deciding what to do and what not to do as far as preparing both these cars for strip and street action. Plus it is really cool being a motorhead again with my son. Thanks to all for having me aboard. See ya, Taint (aka, Joe P.):-D
