Video: My Car Runs

I'm not going crazy on the gear, but I'm going to get a 3000 converter and hope for 11.9s, but hopefully putting in 1.6 rockers will help out the lack of converter/gear.

The .508" cam needs all that gear and converter to run good in a 340. 340's have a short stroke and dont make much torque. If your planning on less gear say 4.10s and only 3000 rpm stall I'd stick with what you have or get something more modern. 1.6 rockers wont make up for running the wrong gear and converter.
Mopar Performance Recommends a smaller one than that 4500 to run what I plan on. Define "something more modern" for me, as I have no idea what you mean by that, unless you are talking roller cams.

As for the 1.6 rockers...I just want the extra lift they will afford me over the stockers. I know that the 340 doesn't make much torque...but there is no way in hell I"m going to put a 4500 stall converter and 4.56 gear ratio into a car thats going to see street use 2-3 days out of the week. The motor/chassis is mostly being built to how Mopar Performance suggests in their old catalogs.
