I am no expert, but I am positive that a 3 speed will not be able to withstand that kind of power. A 4 speed overdrive cannot either, unless bushed like previously stated. Best bet is a regular 4 speed, but they can be kind of hard to find. I should add in decent shape and price, had people quote me over $500 for ones that need rebuilt.
