360, The pump you used was fine. I was just pointing out the differences. Being as the "stock" aftermarket replacement pumps have a higher volume, then the factory pumps, it is not necessary nor desireable to use the aftermarket "high volume" pumps. They put too much extra load on the cam and pump gears, and have a comparativly high gear failure rate.
PS, I use the stock replacement pumps (like the one you used) on my engines (not high volume), with full groove mains, and even the turbo, with no problems, and I spin my 170 engine about 7,000 rpm.
