Starting 1970 Chrysler still called the 2 Door Hardtop A body "Dart" but the Swinger name was pretty generic. The only real differences in the models were: LL23 = Dart & Swinger Special (ie; Cheap), LH23 = Swinger & Custom, LM23 = Swinger 340. No more was the Dart GT it's own line = LP23, Now just an Option Package (A65) only on a Dart Custom not on Swinger. But what the hay! Still same car LH23!

I was relaying what was in the dealer data and salesman books for the 71 model year. There was no mention of the "custom" line in 1971. I looked in my Parts book and under the "H" price class designator --- Swinger and Custom. Interesting, and not the first time the dealer order books weren't exactly correct.

In the 1970 Dealer Data and Salesman guide, there is the Custom line. The Custom line is the base for the GT package in 70 in each source.
