Diesel truck dies, chevy, not mine

Thanks for all the replies. I let him know what you all think it might be, and he did say that the shop who looked at his truck called him and said about that same thing. He appreciates the advice you gave me for him, and extends his thanks to you all. Will let you know what it was when he gets it running again.
