What Edelbrock Heads to use

If your pistons DO have positive deck height, you will likely have issue with the 63cc chamber. I have those heads and a 360 sb with KB pistons that have the .040 "dome" that takes up most of the piston surface. The block might have been decked .030 to square it but not sure, but with stock rods the pistons contact the head (by about .007 with the felpro .039 1008 gasket). To make it work on my current project, I am considering a custom thickness Cometic MLS gasket (.085-.095).

I know it can be done, but not sure what "other" fun issues this might stir up. I have correct pushrods and adjustable gear, and manifold gaskets can be corrected, not sure if it would make header fitment more troublesome but could if you just have enough room now. Guess I'll be finding out soon enough unless I decide to sell my heads and get the 340 model.
