I have a 4 spd with mechanical clutch linkage. My leaf springs have been relocated inwards as well, and I am running with a stock gass tank. with 3 inch Exhaust. So I have more to dodge than an auto car such as yours with a fuel sell. You are right that it is tight, But not hard. Heck, if you can put a BB in an abody, your used to tight situations. I did have to go on the outside of my springs though. when I go for wider tires, I will put dumps, or have them come out the side. But 2.5 inch would have worked just fine.

I can snap a pic of my underchassi, like your first pic if you want. PS, where's your tranny? was that when you were getting it built up?
