Sorry if I´m slow on this,
Cam on base, closed valve and then set the adjustable pushrod to zero lash
between the cam and rocker!. Then add .050" to the push rod length?

The cam needs to be in a position so the lifter is on the base circle. With the cam and lifter installed, as well as the rocker gear, place the adjustable pushrod inbetween the lifter and rocker and adjust the pushrod to become longer until the lifter is depressed .050.
That would be the new length you need.
On the summit pushrods, pay attention to material used and then thickness. Thicker is not an automatic better.
