Well at least your using a "383" and not a 350 cid. ;)

Personally, I recall when it was common to put other brand engines,
tranny's, and rear ends in cars.

Heck I have seen a Cadillac engine in an old Ford,
and Ford engines in old Chevy's.

Use what you have, and whats cheap, was the old motto. :)
