It.......
Weeeeeeellllllll.....after a $30 wrecker ride home, I let "IT" sit till about 9:30 (about 7 hours) and thought..."what are the odds"
well you know the *&&^$#*&^$% thing fired right up. So I turned my attention to the steering wheel. I didn't like it much, and there were some pieces missing for the horn switch. So I started working on installing the new wheel I got.
Guess what I found. The wheel that was on it was sort of held on with a LUG NUT. Yes, that's right. A freakin lug nut....which 1) wasn't tight and 2) isn't the proper thread anyway. Lucky for me, I have a large tap and die set. So I rethreaded the shaft, and stole the correct nut off the Sedan.
Then, after scraping some paint off the new wheel so the switch would make contact, I removed the pansieass aftermarket horn and installed a VW Beetle horn I got some time back. Well you know what it sounds like.
anyway, the original wheel is now in the parts for sale section. And here are a before and after pic.
