Tuning Question

John

In the picture below you see the yellow line that's is where you want the burn (yellow arrow) to stop at. So you are very close to that now. You might know this but I read about this awhile back.

Edit... The yellow line could stand to come back to the elbow some in the picture so like I said you are dead on just about.

In my shop we have an expression for the guys whom just throw parts at a car until it's fixed: Dartboard Diagnosis. I hate to say it, but with the exception of Ben's recommendations on the jetting (which is a big part...) the heat range, carb. adjustment, power valve, and ignition timing were all backyard guesses that appear to be almost dead-on! Thanks for pointing out the area on the electrode as my Pal Tom & myself were kinda guessing on that too. Tom was of the opinion it was good, I thought it was too close to the tip. Score (another...) one for Tom!

I guess I deserve a break with all the problems I had getting this far (I haven't forgotten...) and now it's almost done. For the newer guys if you do a search for all my OLD Cuda Capers threads you'll see what went on 2 yrs. ago when this all first started. I almost set the garage on a fire a few times....
