360/380 Crate Motor

Did you just drop the motor in and fire it up or did you first tear it down to make sure everything was built properly?

I've heard some talk about how they didn't trust the crate motors and chose to tear them down first for inspection.

Personally, I don't think that's necessary...but hey, I'm an amateur.
