Jeep 8.25 Rear End ??????

Dartman, Jeep Grand Cherokees between 94 and 98 had the rea disc brake setup, many, if not all of which came on the aforementioned aluminum dana 44, which is nothing more than a glorified dana 35c. As far as I know, the only modifications for them to fit our 8.25 rearends is to grind the caliper bracket so it fits around the axle housing. everything else is bolt on. You may have to work a little bit with the e-brake cables though, but that's no biggie. I'm going to include some links, if FABO will let me. There should be more than enough information on here to get you headed in the right direction. I'm planning on this disc brake swap myself, just because I want to. But first, I have to get the rearend built up to something better than the peg-leg 2.45:1 I have now. I'm not certain if there is room to redrill the dakota axles for our 5x4.5 bolt pattern, but if you can, you can use the stock drums from any 8.25, possibly even the 8.75. Someone can chime in and correct me if that last part is wrong. Anyway.. here are the links.

There is loads of information on the net on the brake swap, just do a search and check out a few jeep sites, its most popular among off road jeepers.
