Question regarding torque converter
This is true, and here are the facts.Smaller motors with automatic trannies requirer a higher stall convertor to accelarate. Most common diameter convertors are the 11&12 inch type. The /6 and 318 use the 11" type and have the 24 spline input shaft. What you want is the 77 &up /6&318 convertor as a stock unit to install,if you do not wish to spend any amounts of cash on a convertor and have one lying around.I wound check the jegs and summit sites for a convertor price too,as they are low cost. The mounting lugs are 5/16 and if you find one with 7/16 bolt holes, keep it,thats a hemi convertor! If your convertor has weights on it,its a 360 or a 400 with the few exceptions of a 340 or 440 in there. How much stall do you need? or want for your applacation,a bit above stock,2500,3000 or more, please state the use of the car and we can help you further,Mrmopartech
