How much do you guys with 340 stroker combos push your engines ?

I´ve got a 416cui in my Duster with a 8 3/4 with 3:91 and it feels scary too go over 6k rpm. I have not tried it on the strip yet but i intend too!

Does stroker combos tolerate as much rpm as a 340 do ?

What are your engine specs? A better answer can be given if we know your cam specs. etc. I would guess yes but unless you have a race engine or are racing there is really no need to rev the engine past 6 grand.

BTW that is a nice car you have, sounds like you have a stout engine too eventhough I only know it is a stroker.

Thx :D

I didnt build my engine as it was sitting in the car when i bought it but here are the specs i know!

Original 340 block 0.030 bored
Heads are MP alu heads converted to open chamber by Hughes
MP M1 intake
Holley 750

MP 4" cast crank that has been cryod
Original shot peened and polished rods
KB Pistons ,Hughes Engines part # 2020+070 , 26.5 cc's
Piston rings are Hughes Engines part # 2114
Comp Cams V 9215 solid cam
Duration @.50 239 intake.
Duration @50 242exhaust.
Lift with 1.5 roller rockers:
534 intake
540 exhaust
Headers are TTI's with balance tube

I got it dynoed on rolling highway two days ago and got 300 back wheel hp, the conditions in the hall were it was tested wasnt perfect! It was somwhere around 40 degrees C in the test hall. But now the engine has been tuned and runs like a beast at high rpms so im happy

The rpm ceiling is determined by a lot of stuff. The stroker pistons are shorter and lighter, and the cranks, even the cast ones, are fairly strong to begin with. If it was competition balanced, it should be safe to 6500, maybe higher. The 300hp to the tire sounds a little light in the power department..What was the measured torque?
