Relay and Regulator advice

Yea Tracy, I think I screwed the pooch, but maybe not .. I got this one form JEGS and put it on today..

It sure looked chrome to me in the picture, just like the one in my car, except the one in my car is chrome and rust... My ignition box is chrome as well..

Turns out it IS blue one .. I threw it on anyway and it's charging a lot lower now, right around 14.2 -- 14.4 .. I don't have a really expensive battery in the trunk, so one of these days I'll run it for a half hour ride or so and see if it's cooking .. It might be ok though, no ??

Maybe your original is an aftermarket and that's why it's chrome. I've only seen Mopar performance ones.

If it's only charging 14.2-14.4 you should be fine. The half hour ride would be a good test. If it's much over 14.6 when you get back your on the edge. Batteries are different though. Some will take more and some start boiling anything over 14.5
