So who is going to see it opening day? We need first hand reviews ASAP. Is it worth going to see just because of Jessica??

Same here. One of the first movie reviews I heard for it said it was absolutely HORRIBLE! The plot....the acting....the cast.... nothing worked. But there IS a car chase every 6 minutes or so. :-s

No thanks.... I consider this movie in the same league as monster trucks: something for the kids. And the reviewer said Jessica is in it briefly....
 
looks like they took something fun and ruined it. you can watch the origional series with kids of any age and enjoy. i don't think i'll take my 13 yr old daughter to this one.
 
My son asked to go, if he asks a second time I guess I will go, other wise no way.
 
Some time ago someone put together a 1 hour vid from the Dukes of Hazard chase scenes. From what I hear it is a lot of fun to see the star of the show (The Dodge!) without all of that... "talking". Maybe they could make something like that from this movie along with the Jessica scenes. It would be short but maybe sweet. I'd pay to watch that!

I'm going tonight, Local Drive-in .... With my Charger. I'll let you guys know. I personally have never listened to a Critic, and i'm not going to start now. sometimes, they just don't "get it"

This movie is suppost to be cheesy, as is the plot. That was the point. does anyone remember a Dukes plot that you had to think about and say "wow, that show was extreamly enlightening" ... common now ;)

yep, but the boys trashed it and she got the jeep ;) I believe thats what she'll be driving in the movie.
 
well i went and saw the movie... stupid plot and characters but thats the point... i do have to say it felt like 1/2 the movie was stunt driving... very well done driving at that
 
Seriously enjoyed the movie. I thought it was worth my few dollars.

I got a ton of attention too :D Of course. I took a few rows to find a parking spot ;) and had to drive in a few circles ;)

Basicly I agree with the above post. Cheesy Plot, But I thought it was funny. and the best action / stunt driving i've seen in a long time. Took me about 3/4 the movie before I started to think about putting the charger in uniform ;)
 
I dug the whole movie but the plot sucked. I'm very pro mining (when it's done right--not like they showed) so having the mining thing thrown in there was a little weird. When they showed a picture of a "strip mine" it became very obvious that the directors had no idea what a strip mine was. They showed a picture of an open pit hard-rock mine.

Aside from that I was on the edge of my seat during the stunt/chase scenes and laughing my *** off at the stupid redneck jokes. Jessica aint bad either but I think that she lacks the class that the original Daisy had. There's only one.

Now how can I shoe-horn a hemi into this Cuda?? Think it would look good orange?
 
I THOT IT SUCKED BIG TIME but I'm not a dikes fan to begin with . Glad I didn't go to the theater and drop $30 foe me and the wife to see it. (watched it at home on big screen ) Just didnt like the characters... Luke as a wild man ...bear as a con man and uncle jesse getting high ...and I wont even go into daisy ( yes I would but that a whole different movie ...LOL
 
Well, I broke down and bought the DVD last night at Target. I got the 'unrated' version and supposedly it has some scenes that weren't in the original theatre version, plus the 'bonus features' they always throw in. There were a few boob shots in the girls dorm scene that were nice. :thumblef:

As for the movie, I agree the plot sucked. I am glad I never went to see it in the theatre. But the DVD ain't too bad. At least you get to pause and slo-mo through the few good parts.
 
I bought season three. It came with a free ticket and I didn't go see it. Guy at work boot legged a copy so I watched it. Glad I didn't take the kids to see it. I didn't think Jessica is near as hot as Kat Bach. I thought the blonde, next to the bed, behind door #2 in the dorm was much hotter than Jessica. I did get a good laugh out of it. The stunt driving looked like a lot of fun, too. It always bothers me to think about how many Chargers get trashed in these shows.
 
I still own my 1st car, '70 charger SE 383 mag, and it made me sick as a kid to watch them destroy chargers in the original series. mutchless paint it like a holloween costume!
