I want to sell my Cuda. What is it worth and is anyone interested?
This is an original unmolested car (except for the recent repaint in the original rare QQ1) - 79,000 miles.
This car is Galen Govier documented and Galen Govier certified as an original in the Chrysler Registry (#29 of only 43).
This car has a rust free laser, straight body. The interior is like new.
The tires are Goodyear original Polyglass tires like new.
Has the very rare 340 insignia hood inserts and the dash has the rare Plymouth Barracuda 340 formula S embossed into it.
The drive system is all original and untouched.
Still retains the original spark plug heat sheilds - almost impossible to find.
Could go on forever about this car - 4 shows; 4 places.
Invited to attend the Houston Autorama.
This has to be one of the best 68 Cudas in the country.
The value as listed in Old Car magazine is $35-$40K restored (but this is an original).
I just never drive this fine Mopar.
Your opinions would be appreciated.
Please e-mail me for more information at aussietexas@gmail.com. Having touble posting pictures - not a good setup. Can email pictures.

It was one of the more common colors from that time, it was a bright blue metallic. It was very close to the B5 medium blue that came the next year. My Cuda was originally QQ1.

Know what rips me...guy posts a car for sale for the "WHOLE" fourm. But doesn't post pics, wants the oppinion of the bunch but can't load pics.

I'm sure the members would like to see pictures (at least I would). If you like you can PM me for an email address and send me pictures and I can post them for you.

Strange ad. There shouldn't be a "formula s" embossed on the dash. And all 68 Formula S's have special hood inserts. "drive system is all original and untouched." Who uses the term "drive system"?

Sounds like an original low mile well cared for car. Not a survivor, not a full resto, a very nice car you are not afraid to drive and get the undercarriage dirty.

$16K-$19K. Restored it's $25K-$30K right now.

Fully restored top to bottom white 68 383-S 4speed coupe even lower miles sold on ebay a while back for a little more than $35K. Sorry, that's the state of the market now.

Give the guy a break, not everyone knows how to resize and post pictures. It took me a while to figure out how.

from reading the ad and seeing his email account, I would guess he is from Down under, Austraila, so his wording might be strange to us but at home they would not think a thing of it

What he can do is send someone the pictures and let them post for him. Remember he is new to the site, here to sell the car or maybe keep it and find a new site to call home in For A Bodies Only with a somewhat rare car

I wasn't trying to bilittle the man, I was only stating what irks ME. If I came off too strong, I sincerely appologize.
As a matter of fact I did email George, and he sent these pics.

ENJOY

here's the email with more descriptions!

Ron this is the Cuda

What do you think?
When do you see a Cuda like this, let alone for sale?
I retired sold my companies and just want to go racing with my son who runs an 8 sec 67 Cuda.
I have no Ideas what my Cuda is worth, even in this economy. But will get serious after christmas to sell it.
The red Cuda is my 11 sec 340 Pro Street I sold last year for $27K
The green one is my 750 hp 500c i Pro street cuda
You cannot compare these 2 cars to the Blue original Cuda
The one on display is my sons 67 Cuda Race car, on display at the Houston Autorama, and it was a winner there, it is one of the nicest A bodied C uda race cars around
The coupe is my 30K original mile 39 Plymouth (owned it 30 years) that my son and I are building up as a Pro Mod Pro Street car
As you can see we are all Mopar and only thrive on quality Cars
Thanks
George

I know of George via Ebay, he`s either sold/bought Cuda parts for years. I remember his sons racecar, he e-mailed me pictures of it. It`s been a couple years since I corresponded with George and at the time they had just finished the paint on the blue 68. She`s a looker!! George ,if you read this can you give us more of the 411 on the car? I think the big block 4 spd. cars are what`s really demanding the big bucks now but I don`t see why the car wouldn`t bring something in the 23-28k range. The economy is really in the crapper now which is hurting sales. Is the car auto or four speed? What options does it have?

Could you PLEASE reduce the font size and make it black. It would be much, much easier to read that way.

What do you make of a 68 383-S 4spd coupe selling on ebay for $35K? That one was fully restored stock, nos parts, complete detailing...

But if he sold that coupe for $27K who knows what he can get for this 68 340-S fastback. Sounds like he has sold lots of cuda stuff over the years from what Longgone says.

Need to have pictures of the engine compartment, interior, and undercarriage.

The secons generation barracuda has never gotten the respect it deserves...but the prices where just starting to really go up before the economy tanked. I watch e-bay all the time and the only 67-69 pulling any money are the BB 4 speed cars or the Hemis. I would say anywhere from 14-19k would be what that cuda would bring on e-bay today.
