Hockey Fight: DET vs COL

GTX, YOU MISSED THE BOAT BADLY!!
The best tough guy EVER is also getting honoured tonight. Wendel Clark!! No one gave as much of their body to a team as Wendel did. Look up a few of His clips, and also check out his wrist shot. He put more than one goalie on their keyster with that wrister. We still love you Wendel, and GO LEAFS GO

Sorry....theres alot of guys tougher than (Wendy) Wendell Clark. I have the upmost respect for him and the way he played the game with a passion almost second to none, but he hardly ever threw the gloves down on the road. Thats why we called him Wendy at the old Chicago Stadium.

As far as Patrick Roy, He had practice slapping his wife around....he's gotten in trouble for that more than once.
One of the best goalies to ever hit the ice though.

As a lifelong Blackhawks fan, I was very pleased to see them take away Wendys glory in Toronto with a huge comeback and OT victory!!!

You better look again. Most of his punches were thrown to put the guy down. He never got to drop the gloves much in Chi-Town, because the Blackhawks would all turtle! I'm still saying that He was the toughest, pound for pound.
And the only reason the Hawks beat us last week was because I took TO in the pool.(I'm the ultimate loser in pools) At least we got the Flyers tonight. LOL

Blackhawks Turtle???....name one. Sorry man, I was at alot of those games, and although some of those years they didnt have a very good record, Ive never seen a Hawk turtle against a leaf. I did see some of the most intense hockey Ive ever seen in my life when those two Original 6 teams battled. Every game seemed as if it were overtime in game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals.

Yes, bring back the small rink. Those were the days...

Exactly!! 2 strides and you were through the nuetral zone! And you better keep your head up!!
The hell with European style Hockey!!

At least we got the Flyers tonight. LOL
Every dog has its day.:-D I guess that's what happens when you're on the tail end of a 3 games in 4 night stretch.

Don't worry - the Flyers wont let it happen again this season.:bootysha:

I remember that game, I was never a Roy fan so seeing him get tuned up by little Mike Vernon was a thing of beauty :toothy10:

As for Wendal, he wasn't a very big guy, kind of Tie Domi like in size so fighting the likes of a Probert takes some balls. For his size he could sure chuck them :-D

Those were the days :)

Wendel and Dougie Gilmour - two of the scrappiest guys around. Being top players just put them higher up on the pedestal! :)
