I'm looking for one or possibly 4 68' Plymouth Valiant 9" hub/drums for my car. My front drivers side is having issues holding the wheel bearings straight in there. Right now there is a knocking sound because the wheel bearings come loose!

Thank you again!
Corey S.

TT2, Don't know where you're from but if your handle is any indication are you in Oklahoma? There is a yard in St. Louis OK, St Louis Salvage 405-289-3313 that has a 68 4 door that is fairly complete. They may be able to pull and send. If your not in a hurry I go yardin' about once a month or so and could check them out next time I'm out. They are about 2 hours away.

I have the front 9" hubs, drums and spindles from a 65 Barracuda. They should be the same. I don't want much for the stuff. Let me know if you're interested and maybe we can work something out.

Not sure if the 65' would fit on my car either... I have a local Chrysler dealer researching for me right now, just have to wait till i hear from him.

Kipper, if you don't mind when you do go if you could take some pictures of them and post or send them to me, that would be cool! Thanks again!

Not to hijack, but there is no good reason to keep the 9" drums. The spindles are considerably weaker than the 10" drums or discs.

the 65 9" brake drum will work fine--- provided it is not past the maximum tolerance 9.090?? Lawrence

Will the hub work also? I think that Cory's problem is with the hub.

I think that Cory's problem is with the hub.

Exactly.....That's why I asked him if the race was spinning. Thought maybe he could peen the area where the race rides in the hub and loctite it for a temporary fix........

I have some 9" stuff,it works fine if you drive like an adult.beware of curbs and potholes Lol

My Dad and I already repacked and used some bearing spacers as a short term fix. What i need is the new or decent 9" hub. The drum is fine.

As far as avoiding curbs and potholes, chicago has so many of them its hard not to avoid them sometimes! Curbs i don't really pull to close to them to begin with.
