Media blasting question...

eh - Eastwood has a Soda blaster for less than $200 - and they're right up the street from me. Like everything else, maybe I'll just buy one and do it myself. I have 3 other projects that will have to be done too, so that = major $ saved.

Anybody know if the soda destroys grass? I could do it in my driveway, but the neighbors might have a problem with a trail of white dirty water running down the street and into the sewer (although, I know the soda is harmless - it's a perception thing). I'd probably have to do it in my back yard, but I don;t want to kill the grass or have a pile of white powder that won't go away.

Any advice or experience doing this type of thing in a residential area - more specifically in a back yard in the grass?
