215 is going to be the widest recommended by the tire manufacturer's, as stated above. I wouldn't go over 225 with a 6" rim, your tire life and handling will drop off too much after that for it to be worth it...

I know this seems to be pushing it. If I can find where BFG states 215 is the largest then I will buy a set of 215's
